Huge thanks to Alex at Carolina Truggies for the help!
I stopped by today and had Alex shorten my Profender airbumps from 4" to 2". With my uptravel (4 1/2" to 5"), I needed a slightly shorter stroke than what I originally ordered. Alex was so fast that it was hard to get very many pictures, but here are a few of the process:
1st off he de-pressurized the cans.
Now, starting to take the Profender airbumps apart:
Everything was really nice and tight:
Good shot of the guts:
The new longer DOM spacer:
Difference between the 4" and the 2":
Done and done, new Profender 2" airbumps:
They are pressurized to 100psi to start. We'll have to see where to go from there.
I can't wait to get these on! Alex only took an hour to do the change..... it would have gone much faster if I didn't talk his ears off. Hopefully I can get these mounted up and start the testing and tuning, I'll be sure to provide feedback along the way.
