Well last year I picked up a 67 Jeep J-2000. It has no engine ,trans , or t-case .
I have some cab sheet metal repair to do but other then that it is pretty solid .
the axles are not staying with it either .

Here is the plan

I need to relocate the springs on the chassis and install the axles . the engine trans and drive train will then be installed Once that is done I am going to set the cab on the frame and remove the bed to make a tube bed . The spring on it are modified front lift springs off a chevy truck front . We are going to in stall 52 chevy springs front and 63 chevy springs rear .
1.Engine good ole chevy 350. still need
2. Trans Th400 . have it just needs rebuild .
3.Transfer case Dana 300. Also already have
4. Rear diff sterling 10.25 4.56 I have already
5. Front Dana 44 have this also ( temporary use )
Here are the pic's as it sets with a M715 clip on th

pretty cool. thats the way the bed on my truck is built . but it is also dove tailed

I will see what i can dig up or just go take some more. the guy that did the fab work even fixed me a working tailgate. it now say "jep" on it. I think I have some pics posted in a thread on here somewhere. Its a forgotten or burned out on project. 350 sbc, 465/205. 44 ft 14 bolt rear

thats will look good. mine was tubed then skined with what was left of the original panels. then steel plated on the inside. it is also bobbed. chris / novacayne has a nice j truck. his bed is more like what your looking to do

Cool man that's going to be a nice truck to build!

yes no doubt! same with me...it's nice to stretch a build out to really enjoy it over time.

I think the 63" Chevys will do good on that truck with a 113 wheelbase. What size tires?

Actually keeping it 120 inch wheel base . He and I are looking at somewhere between a 37- 40 inch tire .

Once I get the rear axle mounted I am going to start on the front suspension .I will then remove the cab and front clip to completely smooth and clean the frame. My son and I will coat the frame in black paint . After we get all of the suspension set up we will repair all of the rust on the cab and paint the cab OD green . For people wondering we will install a small chevy with a TH400 and dana 300 combo

Hey bud that's gonna b an awesome build question tho what kinda shape is the bed in? And would be willing to part with it for a good cause my j10 restoration :) if so let me know what u would want for it and maybe some pics of any problem areas.
