wanted a buggy,so heres a budget build, this is a first and a good learning experience.i would like to thank everyone that ive called for some tech help,thanks..
specs: 350 tune port,350 turbo,205 case,3 seater,120 inch wheelbase, air shocks, rockwells, full hydro,44s or bigger(have not purchased tires yet) 4 link front/rear.its 6ft 3 inches at the moment to the top of the cage with stock rock rollers on it,(41 inches or so),and has 25 inches from the transfer case to the ground.hubs flipped out.
Stuck in the garage at the moment..LOL..Ordered the BIG HORNS for it last night(thanks Stone)...4 bars are installed(thanks Ben)Wheels are re-centered for the rockwells.I just need to find a good deal on some 44 or bigger rubber.
Jim, Give me a holla sometime, Id like to come by and take a look at it... maybe help ya do a lil wrenchin too... it looks to be comin together quite nicely...
i ordered all the hydro stuff,im just waiting to see about my np 205,not sure if i should build it(twin stick ,32 spline it with 1410 yokes,i never had one apart and not sure if i want to tackle it or have someone do it for me.
also went down to MUDD PRO and purchased my mowhawked kits for the rockwells, and some shock mounts, orbital mount, and a rockwell wheel center for my spare, awsome guy.i wont go anywere else.
installed some interior, and started to make some body panels, propanes installed, currently installing the wiring.
need to make the driveshafts.also need to pull out the rockwells and go through them.hydro needs to be plumbed.
hoping to make it to the farm in a few weeks.
will post some new pics soon
Thanks, there are things that i would do different if i was to build another, but over all im pleased with it so far, it flexes very well(i guessed on the 4 bar stuff and got lucky)
thanks to all the people i have PMed and bugged.all info was very appreciated and helpful.
couple more weeks hopefully it will move on its own,my massey is getting tired of lifting and shoving it around.
they are tractor links,i will up grade later when i win the lottery.
as far as the air cleaner,i guess i will put on a 14 inch k&n that i have laying around, the hood and body panels arent finished yet.
got to drive it down the gravel road today, wow, two month build,i never thought it could be done in that short of time.
so i guess i will make it to the farm next week.
i still need to do some last minute final touches.THANKS goes out to everyone that has pointed me in the right direction and gave me some great input, support ,throughout the build.
been so busy the last few weeks i havent had any time to get some pictures posted up.i will do so asap.
