First off, the coil spring set-up is the better way, in my opinion. Second, if you insist on leafs, then why not get a YJ? Already set up with leafs.

is the rear a D44 or D35? if D44, keep the current axles, lift it, keep the coil springs. if D35, swap it out with a D44 from another TJ (potentially hard to find) or put in a 8.8 from a 95+ explorer (easy to find) with disc brakes and swap over the bracketry. you may not enjoy those 36's on factory gear ratios, especially if you have the 4-banger. an axle gear swap may be on order also.
hope that helps...

Yeah, keep the links, 2-3" suspension lift, 1" body lift, flat belly, 8.8 rear, alloys, lockers and regear.

"Relatively cheap" is .... relative. So not sure where this falls in relation.

if i go with a yj which makes better since will i be able to run a 36 with the stock leafs and which would be the better a route swap in a 8.8 or go with the D44 and what gears do yall think would be best

depending on how much you want to cut, you could run 36s with stock suspension. YJ opens the ease of axle swaps, but i would look for an 8.8 or 8.25 if keeping the d30...

also if you like the look of a TJ, you can install the TJ grill or CJ front clip on the YJ

i would like to run a big tire but i dont wanna go to big i wanna good rig that still leaves a challenge on the trail but i mean im fine with cuttin but i want plenty of clearence and i like the look of the yj so i wouldnt mine stayin with the yj
