Thanks to all who came out.
I think everyone had a good time.
Everybody showed a lot of class and behaved great!
I want to speak up for the 2 vendors that did not show, Rusty's daughter-in-law had complications in child birth delivery and he needed to be there. This happened at the very last minute, he was loaded and almost on his way. If you can e-mail him and show your support.
Fred Perry with Clemson 4Wheel Center broke down on the way up outside of SC. Cam sensor in the power stroke.
Also the guy's from Westwaterree Offroad will keep coming back
so if you need Swampers call him and let him beat lesters deal, because Galloway's won't come to our event. That's not right.
Anyway all is good. Food people will be back, they were great.
Mud pit is dug, rockgarden needs more rocks, so the site is getting better.
I will make more areas for stock and slightly modified rigs to play also.
Again show support for the vendors:
Tarheel 4WD
West wateree
Kore
Ready Welder (Chip Price)
NC4x4Forum
Go-Fer-It (crazy Sheldon who makes things happen) and Donna who takes people on the rides.
Let me know if you won't a Jan 2007 event with no rain dates.
Maybe a cabin fever get together!
The next big one will be in the Spring of 2007, so let's start planning now.
Where was Andy with Carolina Rockshop and DC 4WD?
Thanks again

I rode up in the convoy with Andy, so i know he was there, we went a little out of the way on the way there(had no directions, we shoulda prepared a little better), but he was damn sure there.

I didnt get to stay for too awful long, but thank you for putting the event together.

Sorry I missed him.
Did anyone else see him?
I hope next time he will set up as a vendor.
We need good support to keep these events alive.
We are all one big happy 4 wheelin family!!!!!!!

Yeah, Andy was there. He came by my place for a bit.
I had something for him to take with him but he got gone before I could give it to him. Not sure if he had the JK there or not, I didn't see it.

Appreciate being invite out Mike. Kinda made me wish I had brought my Heep out to play too. Not much on the mud, but would have like to have played on the rocks.

I did miss out on our clubs ride to make this event. If ya don't mind consider that when scheduling the next events.
Thanks again

He didn't have the jk ready yet, he ended up spending the time on my truck. It sure is sweet though.

I definitely was there.......

Might think about setting up as a vendor next year. Didn't stick around a long time, I think we just got there too early...

LJ wasn't there, got tied up on another project that was leaving on friday and couldn't get it finished up in time.

By the way, it is not a JK, it is an 06 Unlimited, just before the swtich.......

I'll try to make sure I am there this time. nice to know you guys will have something for the not so modified guys as well.

We are thinking of running a rock race style comp at the next event. This would be a timed event over the trail and rock course, fastest time wins.
Maybe a some goodies from the vendors, some cash and most of all bragging rights.
Any thoughts / comments?

That would definetly be entertaining. I'm sure it would bring out more people since there would be a competition. Anyone who has ever seen rock racing like that knows its a good time(be sure to include a jump/launch).
Competitors???????

Maybe add a club member/rig attendee competition?
KEEP that food vendor!
I'll sure be back, it is a good thing for us to have a swap meet that all can attend. I sold some stuff that I had laying around for over a year. I would have more but my Jeepster stuff is pretty user specific and sells better at the Jeepster Jams.

Other ideas on things that could be done.
RTI ramp
Slow crawl competition
Different levels of competition
time specific events. One thing I saw was when someone hit the mud, or the garden, everyone left the swap meet and run to the pit/garden. As a vendor, we all couldn't just jump up and run to watch.Maybe swap in the morning, and events in the afternoon??
MORE donations to the raffle. Had to cancel it from lack of donations.

Yea I agree with the competition, throw some stakes in there and i'm sure people will get excited and want to compete. Shoot make the mud pit a competition too, granted rockkrawlin is sweet but everybody likes to see mud bog's as well, put some stakes on the line and I'm sure more mud oriented trucks will come out, I sure as heck know I will again. I mean even if the prize was like some T shirts or somethin, i always get excited when there's free stuff involved :driver:

I have been to two events now and each time they seem to get better. I want to thank you guys for doing it. I wold like to see more venders. I made my first trip out there because Rusty was coming and it saved me a bunch on shipping! I think the mud pit was great but maybe to deep. It is fun to see people go through them not get 20 feet and ruin their rig.

Mud def was not to deep, after they dug it out it was pretty good :driver: I'd just like to see more then just two jeeps and my busted up blazer try it next time :driver: thats why i think if there were stakes/prizes, not even that big of a prize more people would go for it, same with the rocks.

btw i'm in for the january event time

Boulders. Boulders, Boulders......I know that the money went to something else this time, but why not purchase some Nice rock with it and make the mud put 2 times the length.....just a thought. A couple hundred bucks would pay for a Front end loader for an hour......and they can do a lot in an hour!

I will gladly help with the promoting of it. I know some people in various industries that could help out, and it would even be cool to get the news out there for a quick segment. If you want a good turn out, that would attract some people!!!!!!

Remember, this was a benefit for a group of kids, not just to make money, so moneys spent, would take away from the benefit

Rocks are not the problem it's getting them there.

Boulders are easier said than done. A 3'x3' rock weighs about a ton (or more depending on the density of the rock)...2000 lbs. Your 1/2 ton truck is not rated to carry it.
Rocks destroy dump trucks so only a few haulers will tote them.
This event is in it's infancy and is doing great as it is. The promotors and sponsors will make it better each time.
I didn't even know it was for a cause, that's great.
Let me sell my parts for 10 bucks, order food from the hottie blonde and I'm good to go!:fuck-you:

Hot blondes and more will be there next to serve food!
I'll get more rocks by the next big event in spring, and do some type compition.
Mud pit is no problem now-I'll make it longer, and I'll make another for the little 4x4's.
Thanks again to all who came out, because it is you who determine the future of these events!

On another note Rob, and Mike Yeager and his wife would like to express their feelings to all the good people on this board.
