What kind of mileage are you guys getting on propane? Better than when you were on gas? Please let me know what size bottle you have, and about how many miles you go on that. As well as what engine and any other mods. A cost per bottle would be good as well. I'm thinking about converting my 4.0 swapped CJ to propane.

Propane will be slightly less fuel efficient than gasoline.

If you were tearing down the motor anyway it could be built with a higher compression ratio that would get a little better mileage with propane. - Talk to an engine builder

A Forklift sized tank = about 10 gallons of gas.

Propane isn't as cheap as it used to be.

Standard propane fork truck tanks (33lbs.) are 8 gals. I know they make a bigger tank 10-11 gal. They are the same diameter just a little longer/taller. Last time I filled mine (first of April) it was about $24 a tank. It usualy runs a little cheaper than regular gasoline. I have a 200cid 6cyl. with an NP435 and 4.88's. Normally one tank will last me a full day on the trails.
