So I'm in the process of hookin back up my propane system on my new Buggy and like an idiot I didn't takr any pics or wrote anything down when tearing the old one apart but anyway my question is what the crap is this thing and what does it do and heck do I even need it? I've done a little research and it's called a microvac safety switch. But that's all I know. Any help is appreciated thanks!

Similar may not be yours. Use your Google foo.

what are you using to turn the propane on/off to the Model E vaporizer ? VFF30 vacuum lock off ? electric lock off solenoid ?

this is used to energize an electric component when vacuum is achieved ( engine cranking or running ) be it an electric lock off or possibly even ignition depending how the system is configured.

basically it is a vacuum switch can be used as on or off switch when vacuum is drawn on it

and FYI, go to CQ or NAPA and get you some brass elbow fittings to replace the plastic ones you're using now, thats a trail repair you don't want out in the middle of nowhere

This dude @Blkvoodoo is the propane shiznit from all that I have gathered lurking these here forums.

It is an electronic lock off

It is an electronic lock off

use that vacuum switch to power solenoid, no vacuum, no fuel flow, no unexpected excitement if you leave key on for some reason. you crank a second or so longer but you'll likely not notice it
