Just picked up a 1980 Toyota pickup 20r beater rig and it has carb issues and was thinking about propane!! But plan on driving it as a dd mostly and light wheeling for now. So any input on propane or which way I should go and if anybody knows of anybody that has a propane kit pm me. Thanks Jeff

i have propane on my 94 yj, I love it. only con is that it takes up a lot of space for the tank. only 27 bucks to fill up a fork lift tank. can wheel a full day and a half on one tank. Tanks are kinda hard to find for good prices. check out this website for kits and more info http://www.gotpropane.com/

if its mostly a DD, I would look into getting or rebuilding the stock carb.... many toyota guys have been running stock carbs offroad with good success... I am running propane on 2 rigs and like it, but it can be a pain to get the tanks filled in a pinch

No more than you might drive it propane is a good set up and actually burns cleaner in motor. Any quest. Give me a call. Good luck jon Morgan.
