Cad drawing, Oil board or .050 cardboard!

My 3D printer hasnt come in yet! LOL!

Flat rate boxes and construction paper. Scan that into cad, make smoother drawing, print that.

Then glue stick paper to steel. Transfer areas through lines and center marks with center punch. Connect dots with scratch awl, burn with plasma.

Works well for me to get some neat things done without Cnc plasma. Cad software was free download.

Old summit and ecgs boxes I have generally got a few of those around

Progecad, almost identical to auto cad. 30 day free trial, just renew with different email if trial runs out.
If you have a student email you can get a year for free as well.

There are ways :cough cough: to get around the time expiration. If you are going down that road though, you could also obtain a pirate copy of sol-ed werks that works wonders.... En-s-eh is probably watching now.

A trained eye a steady hand a hot oxy cet torch

Pizza boxes make excellent template material, and pretty decent gaskets at a wrenching party. I mean you gotta feed those guys anyaway. Why not kill 2 birds with one pizza?
And they come pre-oiled!

Please share...PM if need be.

Draftsight is another free one. I believe it is just regular free, NOT a 30 day trial. It is very smooth and fast launching compared to Autocad.

Commands and controls roughly the same?

I don't know. I've used the 2d CAD from Solidworks/NX/ProE for so long that I hardly remember Autocad. I just know it took forever for our drawings to open in Autocad, and then it was super laggy once they loaded and opened (even if saved locally). Draftsight solved all of that.
Downloading as we speak. Thanks for countless hours of trying to draw stuff up.
:D
You're welcome :D Just tell yourself you will save time actually doing the work.

Thanks to both of you downloading them when I get home.

I use draftsight for my cnc plasma. I had no cad background at all but with a few YouTube videos and some direction from my dad who's an autocad guy I have great luck with it.
It will also save as or export about any imaginable cad file type you'd need so you guys who ever want anything custom cut you can email me dwg. or dxf. files that you draw up and I can cut them.
