PS2: disc read error??

Hey,

so i bought a used ps2 on ebay. ups dropped it off today. hooked everything up. but when i try to play a PS2 game, it gives me a disc read error message. i tried several games, all the same problem. but it plays a DVD just fine.

what gives?? i'm very frustrated and disappointed.

I used this tutorial when I tuned Josh's PS2 many moons ago... it continued to work fine until he traded it for something else.

Hey,

thanks for the link. i can get DVD's, silver backed games, and 2 blue game to play. but the other 5 blue backed games still won't work. i think i may see if i can get my money back. this is ridiculous. the auction said the system had been fully tested.

ussally when they read disc error alot they are on there last leg.
