Quadratec order on hold rant

So I searched the interwebs for a new gas tank filler bezel, as mine broke when the body lift was installed. I found one pretty cheap on Quadratec and it had free shipping so I ordered it on Saturday. Later that day I get an email saying that my order was on hold and I needed to call customer service. I call them today and they put my order on hold because in their system I still had a Grand Cherokee. Are people dumb enough to not read "fits XXX" on the website therefore the customer service has to hold their order to make double sure it fits their vehicle?? What if I was ordering it for a friend? Any way, rant off, just don't like someone treating me like a kid.
 
Double edged sword because some people would order the wrong thing then come post on the netterwebz about how sucky Quadratec was because they knew you had a Grand Cherokee but they sent you a TJ part anyway. Jerks.
 
I guess I can see it both ways, I was just erked because it held my order up. I guess this is another one of those things of a compnay trying to save a customer from themselves.

I would have been very irked too, my comment was really just to show how pathetically dependent our society has become.
 
Not quite the same, but I keep having issues doing on -line orders from Advance, to get my discount. Not all parts are listed, + they want to match it to Your vehicle. Fluids & accessories, ect, Don't match many vehicles.
My last order contained Brake parts cleaner/low vol. I want to pick up at store, but it keeps telling me to Call Store! Turns out the type I ordered on line, is discontinued. Gee Wizz! It's still listed! Or Your store may be out of a product.
Can't the web site just Tell me that? I Can change my order, or go to a store that has my product. I don't think I should Have to call the store.:(

The website needs work. Half the parts you look up don't fit the vehicle you choose. If it says call store it's either discontinued or has to be ordered. Best way to get the right stuff is to call anyways and get a part number for what you want. But then you have to deal with the counter guy which is also usually a frustration. I should know. I work at one. Most of the people that work at my store don't know what they're doing :lol:

yeah I bet nowadays 90% of the time I buy from Advance, I order it online and pickup in store to get some discount deal.
I have even placed an order w/ my phone online while sitting in the store :lol:
If it says call store, yep that means they don't have it. Sometimes you can change to another local store and get lucky, and they will have it. I have 3 stores within 12 miles of my house so I just pick whichever has what I need.
FYI, most fluids are excluded from discounts anyway, so w/ those you might as well just get them when you get there.
 
Ordered some goodies from Qtech. After 4 days on the "in warehouse" ready to ship designation I was going to call and give them heck after lunch. Shows up just before lunch.
