My girlfriend and I are currently with At&t. Bottom line is..we hate it and hate our phones (Lg VU) we have the opportunity to pay our ETF of $80 and then going to Verizon or Sprint where they actually have good phones and from what I have heard, pretty awesome service. Everyone we know either has Verizon or Sprint with no complaints.
My question is....Sprint has the Simply everything plan for $69.99 includes unlimited, data, talk, messaging, everything. If we go with them, I can get that plan and then just add my girlfriend on right?

We want to move up and get a smart phone with email and web and all that stuff. I really want the EVO from Sprint or the Droid X from Verizon.

If you go w/ Verizon... and like having "extra features"... get ready to be nickel and dimed to death.
Verizon = CDMA
Sprint = CDMA
so the coverage should be similar

If you live in a city, Sprint will be fine. If you live in BFE, like I do, Sprint sucks. I have verizon and dont have any complaints. One of my buddies has Sprint and I will have good signal and he will be searching.

I live in Durham and Sprint service SUCKS here (IMO). I will not renew my contract with sprint. Others may not be better, but I don't see how they can be much worse.

here is link to maps off all the cell companies, SPRINT sucks always has, Nextell's coverage sucked too, still sucks even though they merged.

sprints map zoomed into NC. green is coverage area, gray is roaming. I dont think my verizon phone has been on roam in years.

I had Sprint for a while. I had to get unlimited roaming just to be able to use my phone. Service was horrible in most places. They ended up canceling my contract because I was always using Verizon towers and using over a thousand roaming minutes a month. I'm with Verizon now and I don't really have any complaints.

verizon from day 1

Ive had verizon for the last 5 years, only complaint I have is when I go into the store to get a new phone or my current phone replaced because it took a shit, I have to take a number, wait an hour, drop my phone off, wait another hour. Service is generally pretty good in most places, even noticed I got some way off the beaten path this past weekend.

Bottom Line, get Verizon, even if it might cost you a little more. Service is excellent.

You'll have to get the family everything plan with Sprint. $99.99

My wife and I have had them for over 9 years now, and their service reception has been excellent, until I upgraded my phone. This new phone barely pulls any reception. It sucks. I've been with them long enough to know it's not their service, it's this POS LG phone.

Verizon has better coverage maps.
Sprint has better prices.

Both have phones that are nice.

Been with Sprint for about 7 years. No issues where I am. But I have really good coverage here. I travel around the US and usually dont have any problems.

Had Verizon. Great coverage got expensive.
Had Cingular/ATT Coverage was not so hot.

I have Verizon and it is pretty much awesome. Only time I've had trouble with coverage was in some parts of Uwharrie and at Tellico (but that is to be expected).

I know you pay a little more, but it just works. I hardly ever have any cell phone problems that everyone else seems to complain about.

Def verizon!! Im with them up here in ashe county where they say the have no coverage and still get some coverage. Ive been with verizon for ab 10 yrs now. I switched from ATT. Its true they will nickel and dime you for added features but the service IMO is worth the extra coin.....

Just go look up the poll for coverage at uwharrie, It was some ridiculous shift towards verizon.

i had a lg vu that phone sucks ! i got a diff phone and love my service now

I have had sprint for about 5 years now and have not had a problem at all with them. My girlfriend has verizon and we get about the same service no matter where we are. I only use about 70 minutes or so a month on the plan because I have the any mobile, anytime on my plan its great I never have to worry about ever going over my minutes.

I have Verizon and no complaints whatsoever.

back to my original question....Can I myself go and get the simply everything plan with sprint for 69.99 a month and then add a line to that and share everything?

You have to go with a family plan. Cant just add somebody to a single plan. If you have a family plan then you can add more people to it that way.

Also if you get a HTC Evo there is a $10 fee per phone added.

i have sprint for personal and a verizon work phone i get better servicre everywhere including uwharrie i have 2 lines on the 69.99 sprint plan after taxes and insurance on both lines with blackberries unlimited everything is around 125 a mnth

um...why don't you just call sprint and ask them?

I'm not tryin to be a smart ass but that's what I would do.

silly rabbit.

i have Verizon and they got me by the balls really. i pay about $120 a month, which i think is high being you can get the unlimited plan from sprint for $69. but where they got me is the service. im so freakin happy with the service i wont leave, i almost always have service everywhere. bottom line is my bill would have to get really high before i left them, because i think you get what you pay for and its worht it to me.
go with Verizon

This Exactly.
What's the point of a cell phone if it doesn't work when you need it most?
