My daughter is planning to start school there in January. We have been looking at apartments online and I would like input as to which complexes and neighborhoods to avoid.
Names of streets to stay away from or any other general info would be helpful.

Anywhere around the college is fine.. Avoid the airport area and anything east of 5th street to 17th.
Not any aparment complexes downtown anyways...so that may be a non issue.

There are a ton of apartment complexes on market and college road that are fine.. Tons of college people live in them.
I can't remember the names specifically. Sorry about that.

Avoid Campus Edge and The Glen apartments. North of Market is a no-go until you get down to Kerr Avenue. South of Market is The Reserve at Forest Hills, and many other complexes in that area. Mill Creek is popular and decent.

Streets to avoid: Princess, and anything with a number below 23.

If you want to know more, just PM me. I have a little bit more knowledge of the unknown than most people do.

Thanks for the replies.

Maulcruiser I may shoot you a PM when we narrow it down to certain complexes.

Depends what you call airport area. I owned a condo for 4.5 years in Azalea Trace that is near the airport, and it was a very good place to live, and I still have friend that live there.

Talk to Bobby at SAG both his sons live in Wilmington. Also talk to Pete, his grandmother lives there.
See Ya.
