ok so my rig has been up and running for less than a week, what i thought was trans noise/transfer case noise may be driveline issues. this is what i have, yes i know conversion joints are bad but i was trying to plan ahead... i have a sm465/203/205 combo. with a single u joint at the transfer case, i have a 1410 to 1350 u-joint there because i went ahead and bought the 1410 yoke (for later down the road 1410 shaft). well i got a gear grinding like racket while coasting in 4th gear. so i read it could be the bad angle. so today i used ratchet straps and strapped the rear end to the shock bar. squatted the rear a good 3 inches or so, my 4th gear noise isnt as bad now. so is the single joint my issue?

what are you angles? is your rear pinion pointed at the transfer case or is it flat?

With a single joint on both ends, your axle yoke and transfer case yoke will need to be parallel.

the pinion is pointed toward the cases, yes single joints at both ends. ill have to fine my protractor to get actual angles
