I reciently purchased a dana 60 from a 86 chevy dually. the question being has anybody ever tride to machine the dual wheel adapters to make single wheel hubs.

thanks I'll look

excellent thanks I'll post some pics when their finished

The only thing that they mention about machining the DRW 60 hubs is the integrity of the metal that is left after them being machined. However, something you may want to look into is... they have a rather wide WMS (maybe around 75"?), but if you run H1 wheels without recentering them, it ends up being an inch narrower than running a 10" wheel with 3.5" of BS. Just get some wheel spacers for the back and be done with it.

Do the h1 hummer wheels not require a offset highsteer arm if so that will be a no go--- I already have these being custom machined for me but it's a good idea

I wouldn't think they would require that much of an offset... all hi-steer arms do have the "Ackerman angle", however. Because the WMS is 3 inches farther out on each side, it seems like you wouldnt have interference. If I'm right, it would be about the equivalent of running 4 inches of backspacing.

cool I'm gonna look in to this
