Hey i am new to this site and this is my first post. i am looking at purchasing a 1977 bobcat 630 forsale. its my buddy's and its been broke for 6 years and he told me to take it and try to fix it and if i can fix it we will work out a price later, the issue is the left side wouldnt steer, so i took it all apart and noticed that the sheer pin had sheered of and the gear was just spinning on the shaft and that it stripped out the nut that held the gear on tight, so i ordered a new nut gear and sheer pin and put it all back together.( only around $200 in parts). the issue is now that it is all back together and i went to operate it and test drive it is that the left side seems to work fine, but the problem is the right side works but it doesnt seam to be as fast as the left. i also noticed the right side seams to whine a little bit when u try to turn hard. any ideas, and help would be greatly appreciated!

you should be able to adjust the flow on your valves that operate the direction. you'll just have to play w/ it and see which way you need to adjust it. as far as the wine your drive chains might need adjusting.

okay thanks how do i adjust the valves as far as where do i adjust them , i am new to skid steers, and i didnt see any adjustments for the chain, approximently how mutch is the machine worth is has 2400 hours on it and is in decent shape. ? any information on this machine on how to fix my problems are great help!

is 1977 the right year model? Im assuming not. the adjustment would be on your control valves that your levers are attached to. your chain adjustment is done by backing off the bolts that hold your wheel assembly and moving it back and forth.

i am pretty sure the year is a 77? i called the vin into bobcat its self. i am for sure though that its a bobcat clarck 630 gas and the whole assembly and axle is all one peice. so it doesnt seam like it has adjustments for the drive chains? what would you say a machine like this in decent shape is worth?

No knowledge on repairs, but just wondering about the Deal?
You get fixed, & working good, & then the owner has no reason to sell it. Worth lot more once it's fixed! Hope it works out for you!

just made the deal for 2,000. and i have around 800, and and it know needs to have the right side drive pump rebuilt inorder for it to be fixed . any help on how mutch its going to cost rouphly to have it rebuilt. and whats the machine worth?

Congrats, on a nice purchase! Hope there is a rebuild kit for it. On most pumps, if the housing gets worn, your SOL.
Should be a site somewhere, Equipment sales[used], Bobcat, Godley Auction , ect,to get a price.
