Questons about Jeeps

Your Jeep would run away from those ruts...they contain MUD...and your poser, trailer queen Jeep would wimper if it thought you were gonna get it muddy... :flipoff2:

AhAhAh! That is the funniest thing I have ever seen  I don't think JB will like that too much!

I'm talking about wheelbase...

when somebody starts spinning front and rear, and digging spots out...

when an XJ or Unlimited wheels...the front axle will drop into that dug out area, but the rear will still be on flat ground...then as the front climbs up/out, the rear will "fall in"...but usually not both in the ruts at the same time...

Greg
that is why I love my J10. example See pic above

Fact: the S-10 can tow a Jeep, even up to a fulls size Jeep.
Fact: Yes you can flat tow or tow dolly

That total pulling rating includes your S-10 weight

While all this may may be true, it CAN NOT be done safely! too many idiots out there and you do have to make sudden stops occasionally.
Ditch the S-10, buy a Fullsize to tow with. Use the extra to modify either(tow or trail Jeep)
I do understand the flatie memories, thus the saying,
"It's a Jeep thing"

About what to buy, I'd start first with a list of what not to buy like which years had bad tranny's/axles/and so on. JPMagazine has an article on it this month you might want to check out. It would save you some heartache later like if you got stuck with a T5 in a CJ AAAAARRRGGGHHH!!!!

Old ruts in "K" town, dragging axles with 44's. (pic was taken out the sliding window hence the roll bar)

Well, I have shelved the hole 'towing with the S-10' idea. Talked to my Dad and he has a 1978 Chevy 3/4 ton 2wd pickup that he will let me have, I just have to rebuild the 350 V-8 in it. So I guess that I will use it as a tow vehicle. It isn't a 1 ton diesel dually, but it should be adequate, especially for a free truck! Going to start working on that truck and get it on the road and then I will get my a Trail rig. Thanks guys for all the great input.

Now who is stirring whose pot? :~p

If anyone knows of a good free DVD to AVI (non DivX) ripper I would be happy to turn this into a brief video clip of JB punishing the poor defenseless little tree. ;)

You da MAN !

I was on the moderate runs and when Ron sent me the DVDs he sent me all 3 (pictures, moderate run (Welder), and extreme/stocker run. I dunno if you remember but you came over to me and Paul's (jplive) campfire one night and had a few beers while Paul was singing and playing his guitar.
