I tried google with no luck, Are the inner C's Cast or forged or what?

Is your question about welding to them? They are not cast iron so you can weld to them just fine.

Yep! thanks, I didn't think they would be cast but I lack experience in welding cast (in other words, none) so i thought I should ask.
