As a lot of stuff was already removed before I acquired this YJ, I am lost as to what a few of the bolt holes in the area of the back seat are for. Help please... ThanX in advance!!!

Seat latch is right, seat belt bolt is right, thread insert beside the belt bolt maybe where a plastic trim cover mounted, some one else is going to have to fill you in on the ??? And drilled hole.

I'm gonna guess the ??? is some sort of cargo/tonnueau cover.
The threaded insert and drilled hole don't look familiar....are they aligned vertically? Maybe the drilled hole is for an insert that fell out?
I only had a YJ for a year or so, never got around to swapping the tub on my CJ.

The seat stuff is correct as labeled. nutsert, drilled hole, and "???" not to sure on those. I'll check mine when i get to the house.

I appreciate it guys!!!

Snap, you may have hit it right on the head.

RenegadeT, the drilled hole and nutsert are vertically aligned. If the drilled hole is for a nutsert that fell out, it has an identical twin on the other side.

71chevytruckguy, I would appreciate it if you would check yours.

If these holes have no purpose, I want to weld them shut before painting the interior of the tub.

I'm not a YJ guy, but the placement of the nutsert and hole above it sure look like those that would be used to secure an instatrunk type enclosure.
