When I let off the throttle the exhaust or something rattles pretty loudly. Pretty positive it's the exhaust. The pipes are firm and nothing loose. Can't see what is rattling.

Just curious. Maybe one of yous will go "yeah! Same happened to me, it was the pos _____ near the _____ !!!"

Other wise I'm sure a real exhaust job will solve the issue. Lol

I have 90s from the headers and straight to the rear axle with dumps.

The 90s are welded to the collector and I have the rear of the pipes secured to the trans CM with a L bracket and rubber belt.

I can't move the exhaust my hand. Really.

It's a very fast rattle and is only present at higher rpms when you let off the gas or go to shift.

Check the timing chain on your motor. I'm sure it's slapping around inside there...:D Might as well rebuild the motor too

Had a timing chain bust through the cover once on a 4.2 not my proudest moment.

Nope it's not the timing chain. Found a loose area on the d side pipes.

Yeah I had a 4.2 that I swore was valve clatter but came to discover a very very slack timing chain. I have it over in the build thread. It was very near busting out!!!

Got an exhaust appt setup later this week
