What are some good places that are accessible by my impala? just looking for somewhere close and hopefully with showers/bathrooms and good views. Gonna be heading out around 6 so I would really appreciate it!

Julian Price Park...

Camping requires like a 5 dollar permit though. Not so much good views from the campground, besides the lake, BUT, If you hike around Boone Fork Trail for a bit, they are decent.

x2, good place, just be carfeul: no alcohol allowed...at least that they can see

There's one near grandfather mountain. Nice place, wide open field you can park in...If memory serves me correctly, it is across the street from Hawksnest Ski Resort.

Grandfather Mtn. Campground. Just after you pass through Foscoe on 105. More $$ than Price Park, I think its around $20 a night. You can stay in the field or a built campsite.

I don't pay for camping anymore. That's what the Jeep and some local knowledge is for.

I just got home from Linville Falls camground. Not too far from Boone. We hiked the Falls, Grandfather and hung around Blowing Rock. Quite close to a lot of cool attractions.

Family style campground kinda off the beaten path.
