yea I'm thinking of getting some 2 inch foam insulation board cut some holes on each side and mount a small fan somehow to keep everything cool

just remember this.
2 things in that box need air. The engine is obvious. The alternator is just as important. If you restrict air flow too much (even just a tsad too much) you wont get a second chance with that one.

My mother in law has one. We've used it a few times and it's awesome but I can't see spending that much on one unless I used it a lot.

I have slept in a tent next to this guy's generator.

I have a eu2000 and I love it small light weight and quiet I know buddy's with other brand quiet generators and they never seem to last
