as some of you know i lost my brother(steven) and a great friend(jason) in april of 07 3 days apart from each other. it was a rough week to say the least......
well was just searching CL and found the blazer my friend(jason) had before he passed.... i searched on here a couple times and no go.... but i found it randomly today, and may be purchasing it to live on the dream he had with it when he built it. thanks for listening, just wanted to share....

Can't say that I'm a big beliver in fate, but it is pretty amazing that you would come across your buddys rig. Don't think twice, just buy it.

yeah, its really cool. out of the thousands of people on here, ive only seen a one or two threads with memorial builds.
 
well theres not a whole lot to building it. he put axles, gears, lockers, lift wheels and tires..... really all im gonna do is finish bodywork/paint and cruise:driver:
 
im trying. kid wont text me back now.... ugh burns my butt...

may have to sell or trade the jeep.....:shaking:

x eleventy-billion. Hope you can get a hold of it. Plus, wheeling a fullsize rig is just plain fun.

only if you know the guy. he finally got back to me and wants $3500. or trade. they would probably be same value trade, but i know my jeeps in better shape and i just cant :poop: 3500........ cant see trading down on my jeep either..... :confused:

Tell him your story...and ask if he'd be willing to do a payment plan? Worst he can say is no. I've bought a few rigs that way...write up a contract, offer a decent deposit, and pay monthly. Usually, I have some sorta clause in there where I won't obtain ownership until the final payment, but the owner cannot drive the vehicle during that time. I also usually state that if I miss a payment, the deal is void, and he keeps everything (sweetens the pot). Really, you're assuming all the risk, IE, will the guy sell it out from under you (could put a clause in on that too, but penalizing the owner usually carries a negative connotation), then you also have to worry about if he drives it, or any damage the vehicle may accrue for whatever reason. So on and so forth...just something to think about if you're really serious about getting this rig.
 
yeah he seems like a younger guy. told him the whole story. he knows i know his buddy got it for $800. he still tells me he has 3500 in it. i know its worth that. im going to look at it friday.
 
i was hoping to maybe sell the jeep and buy this and a lil truck...... but he wants too much for me....:mad:
