What radiators are yaul using in your V8 buggys? I'm going to mount it in the rear so size really isn't an issue. Are there any stock radiators that are better than others? I'd rather use a stock one that I can get used. I'm going to be cooling a sbc 350 with a few performance mods.

Find one out of one of the millions of trucks that came stock with a sbc? :flipoff2: Post up in the wanted section, I'm sure someone has one for $free.

Mounting it in the rear is going to give you nothing but headaches too fwiw.

I've never seen someone with a rear mounted radiator not have problems bleeding it as well as related/not related cooling problems. Not to mention the plumbing.

Why mount it in the rear?

Because one that big won't fit in the front. The toyota is norrowed in the front and there is just enough room for a toyota radiator:flipoff2:

I am running a Griffin from summit racing. This tiny little 24x16 radiator works great on my 5.3l with a taurus fan. If I had the money I would get the 26x16 because it turns out it would fit also. It is front mounted behind a CJ grill that is shortened 4 inches and narrowed 8 inches.

I wouldn't put anything but an aluminum radiator in a buggy. It would suck to put all that time and cash into a build and then cheap out on a radiator. The aluminum ones are cheap and cool a lot better than stock.

FWIW these are made just south of Greenville and will sell direct....also they used to have a scratch and dent section at their old locaton, havent been to the new one yet, but you could get hella deals.

I will have to see how much room I have once the motor is in place. I might do that to save money and time on plumbing the cooling lines and such.

my current radiator is 23 wide and 21 tall.......
