Radio help

Was driving my tacoma the other day and the audio cut off, still lit up and could hear it beep when you turned up the volume. Thought it went bad so bought a new one and it does the same thing any ideas would be appreciated!

Sounds like a grounded out speaker

Yea was gonna track the wires next. so one wire with a slight cut or anything like that can ground them all out? Not a electrical kind of person

No just just a pioneer plan CD player with wire ran behind the seat with 2 6x9s

Look where you put the wires. They could have a screw or clip holding panels in can ground it also.

The wire running to on of my 6x9s was rubbing the jack holder from vibration and cut into it and grounded it out
