I am looking for someone to help me get my bronco back running and do a couple random fixes on her.

Sat for 6 months after moving and now I cannot get it to start. Have exhausted my mechanical ability. Got it narrowed down to where I think its not getting gas.

Any mobile mechanics on here or anybody that you can recommend in the Raleigh area?

automax, over off of hwy 64 headed towards knightdale. they did my auto tranny work and a bunch of other tasks i didnt have time for on my jeep. they work on all makes and models. they do great work. i would trust those guys with almost anything.

I did prime the carb as suggested. Some gas came out the first couple of times and then it stopped. I assume now its the fuel filter. Gas should be free flowing to the carb when its trying to be started right? What steps are needed to replace a fuel pump on a early bronco?

Is the motor mechanically fed? If so, gas should shoot out if you disconnect and turn it over. If not then it's fuel pump. Always good to stay on top of fuel filtr if any doubts, change it. Fuel pumps are bad to go when they sit cause it contains gas that is soaking into the diaphram. But that's over years of setting, not months. Could just have been time for it to go? Another way to tell if you spray starting fluid and it starts but only runs for a second. That means not getting gas. Could also be a clogged needle in the carb.
If getting gas, it's spark. If it's getting gas let us know and we can figure from there.
