My brother killed a rattlesnake on the farm today. Shotgun to the head. It had 14 rattlers. It’s still longer than the shovel with a busted up head.

Terrible picture, I know. Time I got the camera up, the deer had gotten to far for a good focus! Working construction on the Island, at Duke's McGuire plant. These baby deer came up to my side of the bridge, took a look, then crossed over to the other side. Why swim when we have a bridge?

99.9% , if i saw one, i would be in its territory. They are gorgeous snakes. If it was in my territory, i would relocate it.

I work there and see them almost everyday. I’ve counted in the teens before. I always say they are the best protected deer in the area.

I know where to see them up here pretty much spring, summer and fall. We see them on mountain bike rides, especially in the summer. They're unbelievably beautiful when you finally see them
