Tree in parking lot at work got struck by lightning over the weekend.

Well, this will be a fun one... FIL bought this little cub lo-boy loader. Needs a fair bit of love, but he's happy as can be. Dropped it off at my house "so you can mess with it when you have time". So far the loader hydraulics dont work, steering needs work, throttle doesn't work, lights dont work, and who knows what else. Ill be interested to see what the little thing will do as far as loader work.

On a positive note, the tires are great, sheet metal is straight, paint is decent, and it does run strong.

Dad's 70th was the other day.

I put up a birthday post on X. As a side bar, I come from a family that never says I love you or hugs for that matter. I think it's because my parents are from Michigan, and it's the MidWest-Yankee upbringing. But I figured time may be short, so I'd throw an I Love You out there.

He responded.

Moved in 9 years ago. Finally replacing the kitchen floor. At least 3 layers of old vinyl flooring.
Especially since I just had knee surgery a week ago, I’m glad I’m paying someone to do this.

my house was built in 1955, when I remodeled the kitchen, there was 1.75" of floor to get to the original hard woods. 1,600 lbs with tile and cement board, layer after layer.

New project. Needed a little TLC. Currently trying to get it back together after having it apart. Getting that tone arm back on with everything balanced right is a PItA!

For the Audiophiles, In follow up to this…

On a whim, I stopped in a thrift store today. Looked through their sad little electronics section. Nothing. Then I glanced behind the counter and buried under a pile of shit I saw a distinct shape of the top of a pair these.

I casually asked if they were speakers and he said ya, $25 for the pair!!!

For those that don’t know or don’t care, these, in the condition they are in, are $300-450 pair of Bang and Oulfsen. Circa 1977.

SCORE! That now makes $350 speakers and $275 turn table for $65. Oh ya!
