Carolina Trailblazers Fun Caravan at URE was this weekend. We tent-camped for the first time since pre-covid (built an enclosed, then sold it, then got lazy).
Anyway, we survived the storm both nights.

If you’ve been, you know besides the trails, we do field competitions in 4-low.
New this year was a women’s-only event, nudge-the-jug. And my wife brought home 1st place driving my stock Gladiator!
She’ll probably want one of her own now!

I think I was most impressed by how the truck drove with all those stumps on the back. That thing is a beast and the dump bed didnt struggle one bit.
It's a stout SOB. I'm glad I didn't break anything loading them haha.

Speaking of the truck...I finally got around to making some proper tailgate bolts/latches/hinges/whatever you wanna call them this afternoon.

Probably better than the 2 wood screws I've been using haha

Was that a booster separation or something? The rocket was clearly visible up here but not the awesome blue cloud looking thing.

Duane

Edit: apparently it's called a jellyfish cloud and happens when the rocket is high enough for sunlight to hit the plume but it's still dark on the ground.
Yep, Jellyfish is the lower portion with the white dot center. That white dot is the rocket headed to outer space. The big cloud that looks higher up is from the separation.
The rocket looks lower because it’s arching away from me and is probably getting close to being off the Carolina coast at this point, So it’s just lower on the horizon from my vantage point.
