This guy Ive done some work for in the past has decided he wants to rip the motor out of his yamaha raptor and put it in a golf cart that hes got laying around. (I get the feeling the raptor scares him and he'd feel better with that much power in a vehicle with a roll cage and seat belts. :driver: ) I dont think it would be all that hard to do but ive never actually seen one built before. The way I see it we have three options:
1 Take the motor out of the four wheeler and build motor mounts in the golf cart.
2 Stretch the four wheeler frame and build mounts to accept the golf cart body.
3 Build a new frame to fit the golf cart body and the four wheeler suspension and motor.

Whada yall think? Any ideas or pictures of something similar? Personnally I say throw the golf cart in the trash and learn to ride the four wheeler, but hes dead set on it and hes willing to pay me to help him so anything yall got would be much appreciated. Ill make sure to put upsome pictures once we get started.

just make a fastass go-cart. Or tell him to change his panties and learn to ride the raptor. I had a highly modified raptor, they are not that scary.

holy old post batman !!

it sounds to me like somebody has more money than he knows what to do with. I certainly don't have the money to just rip apart a 5 thousand dollar (or more) 4 wheeler just to build a golf cart. either way though, I'd love to see it done. my stepdad works on golf carts for a little extra cash on the side and has gotten pretty good at it in the last couple of years. let me know if you need anything.

ha...you brought this back from the dead after 5 years to warn him of being flamed?

i think we would of got around to flaming by now!

like rattie said though...i am curious how it ended.
