My original plan for this weekend was to go to Crozet and to test out the changes I made to my rig. Then my brother noticed I was wheeling this weekend and invited me to join him for the Rausch Creek annual "Frosty balls run". I thought about it and figured, "why the heck not?" With permission from the boss secured I loaded up the truck and hit the road.
It supposed to be a 7 hour drive from Apex (google says 7h 25m) but it took me 8 hours that night. I was slowed by a traffic jam by Washington DC and a detour to find fuel somewhere in Maryland. Because I was late to leave I changed my plans from staying at my brother's house on the first night to just sleeping in my truck. The OHV park was about 1h 20m closer and it was already 2:00 am. As I showed my brother's friends knew I was coming and they invited my to hang out by the campfire. We didn't go to be until 4:00.
I got up at 7:00 and found a light dusting of new snow to cover the snow/ice that was already all over the park.
My camera doesn't have a viewfinder and the screen has gone dark so I don't know what I'm taking a picture of until I get home. This is our group headed through the trails of Rausch Creek.
