Anybody got a crawler from wal-mart? if so post up some pics of any mods or little things you have done to them. I will post so pics my-self soon
 
painted mine all black. added a toy man, zip tie harness and chopped the shocks for more articulation. removed everyother tire grove and painted the wheels black. all the blue in the "control arms" are black too. added more decals too.
 
I just cut on the springs, about 4 coils' worth. Need to do something about the tires... and the utter lack of clearance under the axle.
 
just bought one this past weekend. haven't done anything to it yet. the walmart up here has the big ones marked down to $49 :driver: .
 
If you actually have some fun with it they last 3-4 weeks. Rich if you want some tires/body/parts rig PM me and addy, you can have it.
 
i cut the springs and installed the 2.2 swamp dawgs (bogger looking tires) and painted some blue flames over top of the orange on the nose. My next plans are rear steer and 4 link front and rear. Will post pics as soon as i get some. Franklin if rich doesnt take the truck i will, i need one for the front axle for my rear steer.

Axles go "click clack$&%$^(^&*^*click" :flipoff2: But I will send it if Rich doesnt want it.

Sweet! Thanks.. Just to clarify though, I have the little crawler, not the big one.

mine has lasted a while. I have used the hell out of it. My rollcage is crack from so many rollovers, and over and over and over. there is a lot of place to take it around here and i beat the hell out of it.


The best thing for the tires is to completely remove every other tread. It prevent all the slipping it has.
 
IMO the best thing for the tires is to get rid of them and put on some 2.2's. It helps out alot with traction and seems to help the downtravel on the suspension. The only downside is clearance, you will have to chop the body but i think that is a great mod to do.

Yep its the small. The grooved tires really hook up, I know it is what killed it. PM me your addy and I will send it to ya.
