Has anyone every used the the RE Spring over leafs?

I wanted some feedback on if they were worth the money or if im better off getting some old YJ leafs for a SOA. Also would how do people feel on shackle reversals if it is mostly going to be a road driver and mild offrading. I am going to put them on a 75 CJ5 with scout 44's. Any comments would be great.

Never used the RE leafs so I can't speak to that, but, one of the things I like about using the stock leafs is that they flex better. They also don't provide so much lift so you COG is lower, are cheaper and easy to find. I'm running stock YJs in front, stock XJs in rear. I have a stock main leaf with the eyes cut off in each pack to stiffen them up just a tad, works great for me.

I had them on my old CJ5. They flexed great. They did raise the jeep a bit higher than i wanted but i didnt get a chance to break them in to see how it settled. The nice thing about them are the eyes being reversed than normal. It gives you a bit more arch to keep the spring from bottoming out like the factory YJs do. I had waggy 44s under my jeep.

Here is an old poser pic of it.

Thanks For all the info so far. I think I will try them, now i just got to figure out what type of perch to put on the scout 44 front since the diff is in the way when you space it out.

I ran them without a traction bar for a while until they broke in then the wrap forced me to do a 4 link. They did great with less than 35s and the 5 leaf pack breaks in quicker than the 6 leaf.
