We're still lookin into the engine. All indications so far is that it is a later 231! Distributor, casting and serial no.s, valve covers all indicate a 231, around 1977.

That engine is going in the place of an odd fire 225, the big question is if the 231 is odd fire or not.....some things say yes and some say no.

Is the 231 a Buick engine? I know Jeeps had various different sources for engines back in the 70s.
