Ok, so I'm sitting here watching TV with the kid ( 3yrs old )
Playhouse Disney, show is called HANDY MANNY, cool show, involves tools and fixing stuff ( as well as normal life lesson you would expect)
So it would seem, every time he needs to fix something it requires a trip to the hardware store, which is cool, Manny and all the tools pack up and head down to see " Kelly" the hardware store lady.
She ALWAYS has what he needs, what ever it is is ALWAYS in stock.
NEVER have I gone to a hardware store and they have everything I need, I usually end up stopping several places to get what I need.
They are creating UNREALISTIC expectations !!
or....maybe I ....uhhh..... Need to get out more.......

Haha, thsi is funny.
Our son is almost 2... and wife and I LOVe this show. The names of the charactars are great... and I actually like the way they integrate Spanish and English names for things.

But something really bugs the PISS out of me.
Whenever there is a hex-head bolt or screw to be removed... the PLIERS do the job. There is no wrench-charactar.

*I DO NOT WANT MY SON TO THINK THAT YOU REMOVE BOLTS WITH PLIERS!*. This is teaching kids the half-assed way.
Manny - get a freaking wrench or a socket set!! At least a freaking crecent wrench!

The show is probably written by some hippie liberal who doenst even own a pair of pliers.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to tune my 2yr old son in to it. He loves to go "bang bang hammer"...perfect for working on Jeeps! :driver:
