Sup with taking the ZJ set up and putting on a non c-clip axle.
I've done the swap on the C-clip 35.
Anybody done it on the older non C-clip Dana 35.
I have an older non C-clip 35 with 4.10s and a detroit locker. My drum brakes are toasted and I was going to do the disc swap.
I'm just not sure on what else is involved in doing it on the older non c-clip 35.
Any suggestions or comments.
btw I'm not losing my supposedly weak Dana 35. I've got over a hundred k on the odometer with no issues, the last 50k have been with the "no spin". It's a farm jeep with 31x10.50s so.......no need to upgrade my weak axle....:shaking:

My axle shafts have a 4 bolt retaining plate held by the outer axle bearing that is pressed on. The 4 bolt plate holds my axle shaft in, since it doesn't have C-clips.
I concerned that the retaining plate will cause interference.

moot point, just finished redoing the drum brakes........
