Did a little plumbing for a buddy. Its 304 ss 1.5" tube. I used this because it's what I had access to. My tube bender kinked it a little becuase it is only .063 wall. I am very pleased with the way it came out.

Looks good  I would have went with PVC but I guess that works too.

I think this was perfect! PVC joints break down eventually due to swelling and shrinking. Seen it happen before and 200 degree water don't feel too good. Steam hose is the easy way out but most pricey. And most thick metals (besides aluminum) is way overkill with weight disadvantage.
I have a Bronco waiting this procedure with everything mounted and ready. After seeing this post, I am going to look into how much a stick will set me back? I was considering aluminum but it too is very pricey.

Where did you get the tube? I have been looking for some to do the same thing on my truck. Looks good, although my buggy overheats with the radiator in the same orientation.

Marmon Keystone, Dillon Supply, American Stainless, Murray Supply, Ferguson...

American Stainless is prob. the cheapest...

Yes I will be using a vacuum coolant filler. It sucks a vacuum on the system then draws the fuild into the truck. I will do that tonight and post pics...

When you attached the hoses did you expand the end of the pipe so the hose won't just slip off under pressure?
