***Rebar Nesting End Tables***

Built some rebar nesting end tables for living room. 1/2" rebar welded with 2x12's as tops. Antiqued, stained and Satin Helmsman coated them.

Thanks for the inspiration with the materials. I was bored on Saturday and decided to build a bed frame from dimensional lumber and rebar after seeing this post. I plan to build some similar side tables to go with it next time I get bored.

Those are great! What kinda paint did you use? Any plans for something on the bottom to keep from scratching the floor or from allowing the paint to chip and metal to rust.
I like home grown ideas especially when it involves a welder!

I used the "Hammered" spary paint you can buy at Lowes. Using plain old 1/2" black hose (bought mine at Advance) split down the middle to wrap around the bottom leg rails. Using "walking cane ends" (buy at CVS) for media table ends. Keeping it simple, cheap and "industrial" looking .
