Has anyone dealt with or heard of a guy named Darrel at RTP Machine Shop on Evans Rd out by the airport? I'm looking at him building me an engine for my Jeep. He said he was known in the jeeping world.

My experience is that when someone claims that they themselves are well known, rather than having others claim the same, they are not.

That said, I've got nothing to add in regards to Darrel or RTP Machine.

Why not just go with the well established Boyettes?

Haven't heard of him...but we don't do much in the jeep world either.

I found "101 Machine Shop" on Evans rd. w a search, could not find "RTP". 101s site does not have any engine building/machining info @ all,just prototype and industry machining claims.

Did a search on the phone # and it comes back to Outlet Rebuilt Auto and Truck Engines.
