Right when Daniel starts to get interesting, I could already check if the 40s were rubbing. So far so good. :)

On the first step I immediately discovered that the Fox coilovers where not valved for the weight of my truck. As Zack put it: "the suspension was just slinkying all over the place". They were obviously valved for a vehicle like a JK. That made the truck bounce like crazy till it rested the back of the roof on the berm. One thing's for sure, the custom slantback roof is made to withstand serious abuse! Alex! I'll be bringing my Fox shocks in to get revalved! That was an exciting way to start the day.

The rest of the day went smooth, and I really got to test the truck on some more extreme terrain. It was fun and very satisfying. Here's some of the pics that Zack took. Thanks Zack!

Nice to meet you on Saturday, the H3 looks really good and it was cool to check it out in person. I was the guy in the black 2dr XJ that came up Kodak when you and Zack were hanging out there.

As always I had a blast man lookin forward to doing it again this weekend haha.

Already dropped the ball. Let see if it rolls now. :)

Hell ya lol

Got your text Al- I spent the day finishing up some armor projects on the jeep, should have loaded up wheeled. Looking forward to seeing the H3 again!

You coming out this weekend ^

Looks like I'm game, but only until lunch. After that I have to get back home. You want me to bring down my SWR meter Zack?

I had the pleasure wheeling with (terrible with names) the H3 and biggoofy on Kodak for a couple of hours. Great guys and awesome rigs. I was not as well equipped for those trails and ended up getting snatched twice. The H3 is like nothing I have ever seen, it creeps over shit I could only dream of. Hope to see you guys out there again some day. I'll be up there in December for another Old North State Cruisers run.

Thanks for the pull Recon :)

Hi Nick. It was cool to see another large rig on the trails. It takes some time to get used to large heavy rigs. I'm still learning and getting a feel for the Hummer. I came from a super lightened TJ that pretty much never got stuck anywhere. See you on the trails.

Just got in the mail some goodies I had ordered while still overseas.

These are the Marathon Seat Covers Superhides in A-TACS camo. I can't even start to explain how amazingly well made these things are!!! In the pic you can see the front seats and the matching center console. I didn't include the rear ones because I don't have any more carpet space. :) What I really like about these seats is that you can pretty much pick any color or pattern. These are waterproof Cordura. The assembly instructions aren't generic. They are vehicle specific with real pics of H3 seats. They are held in place with real HD straps and not elastics or bungees cords. I won't be installing them immediately because I'm going to have somebody install some zippers in the back, so I can still access the factory map holders. I will store all my Delorme Atlases in there and only pull out the one of the State I need. They even made a matching A-TACS cover for the atlas. :D These guys are amazing.

Got the Marathon Superhides seat covers in A-TACS installed in the front seats.

They fit really snug and don't budge no matter how much you shake your behind. :D

I got it with the rear map pockets and matching Delorme Atlas cover. I also got the gun pocket that sits between the legs. The options are endless. Hopefully tomorrow I'll install the rear seats.

Finally got the rear seats covers on. The attention to detail is just amazing. Love these. Well worth the wait. :D

Slowly but surely, I'm finding some time to do small pending projects here and there. I had a couple of gigs cancelled so I took advantage to tackle the MFC carrier. I drilled and tapped the holes for both the license plate and the LED plate light. Used my old Cali plates to align everything. Wired the plate light and added the same plug I have on the spare tire license plate light. So now it's just unplug and unbolt spare tire carrier, and plug and bolt on the MFC carrier. :) One down..... I don't know how many to go. :( Will probably tackle the hood vent conversion next.

Thanks. Heading to the range for some trigger time.

And it begins!!!! Starting to prep the truck for the Vermont Overland Trophy!!!!!!! :D Rear seats are out to make room for the 40" spare. Will it fit?????

It fits!!!! That's a 40" tire. It went in with no effort. :D Next to try with the complete wheel. First I'll have to organize the tie downs for the ratchets straps because the next time I put the complete wheel in, it's not coming back out. Way too heavy to be handling.
