Is there anything that's good to recondition foam rubber gaskets? I have some that aren't bad, but a little dry.

Years ago I had some clearance lights that the rubber gasket had shrunk so much I couldn't fit the gasket and screw it down. I tried soaking in lacquer thinner. They actually grew a little too much but after a while they shrunk a little and fit perfectly.
