So tonight I picked up a set of 18" RS4 wheels (I'm not sure if they are originals or reps) but I got them for CHEAP so I can't complain. Problem is a couple of them have some serious scratches. How would one go about fixing them?

PM fattypackard. He fixes wheels for a living, has all the equipment, and lives here in Winston.

After some research, I decided to give it a go myself. Cleaned them, wetsanded them down from 280 - 700 grit. They've got a couple coats of paint on now and will later sand them down with 1000 grit and throw some clear coat on it.

THREAD HIJACK!

Anybody know of a place that can re-due chrome wheels? I've got a set of 15" Buick rims that are showing their 40 yr age, and need refinished. Both the chrome and black 'paint'.

Well, I am done refinishing the wheels. It doesn't look perfect by any means, but for $20 or so, I can't really complain. Powdercoating would have been $80 per wheel.

I also got 4 Continental ContiSport tires for $150. I can't complain about that either considering they only have 5k miles on them. I hate buying used tires but I am broke! I am going to run by the shop on wednesday and get them mounted and balanced if I have time/ if the machine is working.

I'd say they look pretty damn good for $20 and some labor:beer:
