Relay for Rock Lights??

I am running 5 rock lights directly off 2 switches. As I figured...it keeps blowing fuses during continues use. Is there a universal relay I can buy and if so where? Also will it run both circuits or will I need two relays.
All five lights are 55 watts so 1 circuit (2 lights) is pulling approx. 9 amps and the 3 light circuit is pulling approx. 13.75 amps. Is 13.75 too much?

Any input would be appreciated.....

Just go by the local parts house and get a couple of the black 30 or 40 amp Bosche style cube relays. If possible, get the ones with the little mounting bracket that's part of the body.

Follow the diagram that's embossed in the relay body and don't forget to fuse both the switch side and the supply side to each relay. If there's no diagram, then for the Single Pole Single Throw version it's:

B+ --- fuse -------- switch --------- terminal 85

B+ --- fuse ------------------------- terminal 30 (common)

Ground ----------------------------- terminal 86

Load -------------------------------- terminal 87 (normally open)

85 and 86 are actually interchangeable, and terminal 87a is the normally closed terminal on the Single Pole Double Throw versions, and 87a isn't used in this application unless you want to do some more creative things.

Make sure the wire sizes connected to 30 and 87 are sufficient.

I run 4 lights off of one relay with no problems. They are the 55 watt tractor lights from wally world. I have 3 sets of lights (two front, two back, and four rock lights), and each set has its own relay and switch. I got my relays at the local parts house.

1 relay should be fine.
Other than that, x2 what they ^^^^^ said.

I run 2 circuit breakers into a bank of 4 relays.
1. Rock lights
2. KC Daylighters
3. Low beam H4 conversion headlights
4. High Beam...

I use an individual relay for the front off-road lights, rock lights, and back-up lights. And I use one master relay to energize them all and it is energized from the light switch. So to turn on any of the lights I have to have at least the parking lights on. The benefit is I can turn off all the lights at once without the toggle switches and I don't accidently leave one on. All the relays are under the hood and get their power from an additional 50A circuit breaker. The toggle switches inside are on the relay ground terminal so no additional fuse is needed and no hot wires through the firewall. If a wire gets chafed the lights come on. No blown circuit etc. It may sound like a lot of work but it was'nt very difficult at all and has worked without fail.

looks like your running a TJ? so i would do it as Jasper suggested, use a small relay to trigger multiple main relays. And as he mentioned you can use the parking light as an enabler on the relays such that they can't be turned on when the rig is off.. AND the relay won't over draw on your existing system.
