I'm going to be making my doors removable on my Jeep tomorrow. I'm going to just unbolt the hinge and while I have the door off I'll cut the bottom of the hinge off. I've done it on one of my friend's Jeeps and it was a bit*@ doing it with the doors on! We couldn't get the bottom part of the hinge off after we cut right beside where the torx bolts are...I've always wondered why we couldn't get that part off?! We hammered and hammered and did some more hammering and it just wouldn't budge. That's why I'm taking the door off first this time around :D The bolts to the hinge are T40 correct?! Got any tips for me? Thanks!

It's hard to get the pin to move because its splined on the end kind of like a wheel stud. You really don't have to cut anything. If you have access to toarch just heat the hinge and knock the pins out with a punch and hammer. then replace with lock pins from tractor supply.

I got the drivers side done last night and it was easy. The only trouble I'm having is getting the pin to go back into the hinge when putting the doors back on. Should I grind the pin down to where it's thinner? I'm going to do the passenger side today. I'll post pics when I'm done. Thanks for the help!

I didn't use the factory pins, replaced w/ 1/4 x 2 1/2 lock pins from tractor supply. You could just grind on them, but with the lock pins you'll have something to grab a hold of to help remove them later.

I'm running into some problems. I got the doors off pretty easy but when I put them back on and tried to take them off they wouldn't budge. I mean not at all. I've tried spraying them with PB blaster etc but they just won't budge whatsoever. I tried hammering the pin upward and then trying to lift off and nothing it working  BTW I'm using the factory pins.
