Do most of these ideas work on factory pinstripes too?

If it's not painted on, then the "eraser" from your typical NAPA store will take it off. You may have enough fun doing that all of your vehicles end decalless. Hey, I just made up a word.

If its on the window, I took a few off my XJ with a razor blade and some goo gone. Razor blade worked like a charm.

What's the best way to remove decals/bumper stickers w/o leaving a nasty residue or making a mess?
on one hand, doing i twhen it's hot (liek today, GEEZ!) seems practical, but on teh other, this makes the glue very guey and messy.

hot days are better and glue will always be there use 100% mineral spirits from home depot to get the glue off(won't hurt the paint)

I am a vehicle graphics installer(wraps mostly) 16 yrs exp.

You can use a propane torch to fan over the decal(just barely touching) and it will peel off without leaving residue.
