Removing stock Jeep sidesteps

I busted up the passenger side one a few months back, and finally got around to taking them off.

The passenger one came off fine, except for one bolt which I believe was stripped. I just jumped on it till it busted out, but it pulled out all the threads with it (apparently the frame wasnt threaded out, just a threaded insert in the frame)

The drivers side however has 2 stripped bolts, and there are 2 that I cant get to without breaking the step off the mount, which I have no idea how do to...

Any tips on getting these stripped bolts out and getting the step off without doing any damage to the body?

The frame isn't threaded. There are nutserts in there. Sounds like you have a few broken ones.

Thanks bro . The guy I sold it to sent me some pics a while back, but I haven't heard from him since then. Glad to hear it's still doing well...
