Removing window tint "glue" from windows?

I pull the tint from the windows of my Jeep 3 years ago, but never got around to removing the sticky glue adhesive that was left behind. Any ideas how to remove it?

Windex + Razor Blade + Paper Towel

I have heard they do make a solvent spray that removes glue etc but never found/seen it myself. I have de-tinted a couple windows using this method. If you have a flat razor blade holder (not the flip out knife style ones) it will go a long way vs holding the blade between your fingers.

I got a bottle just for that exact same purpose and it works. It takes a little elbow grease but it is MUCH MUCH MUCH faster than using windex and a razor blade. I'm pretty sure you can buy it at most auto parts stores now. I think I got mine at CVS.

I have heard that vinegar will take the glue off. Haven't tried it myself though.

soapy water+razor blade+lots of paper towels for cleanup

Advance and AZ sell a kit with the chemical and a scraper. You spray it on, cover the window with a black trash bag and let the heat work on it. Then it scrapes off pretty easily.
This may be hard to do with the current temps. Maybe you can park a space heater near it.

Goo Gone is the stuff for the job! I use it to remove any sort of sticky residue! Soak the sticky stuff, let it soak for a few seconds, then go at it with the razor blade! Just a tip: test the razor blade on both sides, because usually one side scrapes better than the other!

Buy the tint remover, spray it on, and LET IT SIT! The directions say leave it for half an hour (or they said that 10 years ago,) do it and the glue can be wiped off with a rag.

If you can find window cleaner with an alcohol base it does wonders. I found some cheapy window cleaner that had a high percentage of alcohol in it and used that. Removed all the tint off of my wifes impala in about 30 minutes.

Any window cleaner with amonia in it should do the trick.

1 part ammonia, 1 part rubbing alcohol. (50/50) Spray on and razor off. It works like a champ. Majority of your window tint shops use this. Be careful when using it as it can take your breath away and probably cause some damage.
