Should I call the company? Should pretend I didn’t notice? (Both of these risk high retail cost being billed to me) or try my ass off to buy a set off marketplace before I fly back home?

was the rental from just a regular car rental place, like the airport?
If its a high volume place, I'd clean it up and return it and plead complete ignorance.

... this assumes they don't patrol this website ;-)

What does your contract say about tire wear or excess wear and tear on components?

@RatLabGuy yea it is but I found a set locally for 350. I have a bad feeling the rental company would charge me around 1200 plus who know what kinda fees

But can they prove they weren't like that already? And is there a no gravel roads clause?

We didn’t do a walk around before I took the jeep. The driver is responsible for any tire damage

How did you pay for rental car?

Credit card

The thing about doing the right thing, is it’s the right thing. Make it right, you have the correct idea. @1stgenxxx

Just return it, they'll look fine by the time you get back to slc.
Ya know, a nice, long 4wheel burnout against a wall would make a ton of improvement...
