Coworker is looking to rent a boat for when her parents come down.
I told her about Kerr/buggs island/whatever you want to call it, in addition to Jordan and Falls.
Anyone got any recommendations on somewhere to rent a boat from on any of those three?
Or a better lake within an hour drive or so from Morrisville?

thanks

lake norman is nice. i think the rental place i use is blue parrot or, or that may be smith mountain lake, lol. sorry. i guess im not much help. the couple hour drive to smith mountain lake in VA is WELL worth it. nice lake with great views.

hehe
Not an option cause of the drive, but I hate smith mtn lake.
(I grew up there.)
Stupid over crowded rich people from up north mowing down anyone and everyone with their huge over priced power boats.
You can't even go fishing out there any more.
Leesville lake lasted a little longer without the crowds, but it was just as bad last time I went up there.

(not that I'm bitter about the crowds on Smith or anything you know?)

man, i have a pretty good time when i go. i got late summer early fall, less crowded then.

What about Lake Gaston? It's huge, lots of room for fast boats, sailboats, you name it.
