Was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere you could rent a garage space for maybe a week. Doing a cam swap in my car and was just trying to find somewhere to do it inside. If I can't find anywhere I'll probably just do it in the driveway. Y'all have any advise?
I'm in Greenville NC

Yeah I don't know of anywhere you could rent for less than a month. Best bet would be to find a 10x15 storage unit or 10x20.

Do you know of any that don't care if you work on cars in them. I called ample storage a little while ago and they said no they don't allow you to work on things in the units

AA off of firetower but I think all the big units are on a waiting list

The storage unit place on 43 just outside of town around Bells Fork just put in some 15x40 units with lights and 110V electricity.

Also, the Aerodrome has storage units available. They do have power and lights as well because they expect people to tinker on their planes. They do allow cars, boats, etc as well.

Call Charles Woods at the Aerodrome 252-714-0514 and see if he has any hangers with electricity left. Last I checked he had a T hanger available. I think they were $200/month

I did this for 3 months to rebuild engine and other repairs on a truck i used to have. At the time the only requirement was no oil on the floor, i built a work bench and ran an air compressor off the 110 outlet, hung a 4ft flouresent. was great to work out of and at the time wasn't terribly expensive.

had a FritoLay distributor across the way, got a dozen heavy wall cardboard knockdowns for free to lay on the floor, great creepers and absorbent.

they typically don't like anything with a lot of fumes sparks or flames.

Before buying my house I had a 10x15 with my tools and what not. Ran drop cords and set up lights. Like having a work shop you rent. Cleaned up my 60 and painted it, and just had access to my tools and a way to get out of the rain to work on stuff. Hell even pulled my jeep in one to change the oil and spark plugs while it was raining. Funny seeing a jeep on 38.5s fit in a 7ft door.
